The winter in the UK is usually very temperate – we have a some cold weather, we have some rain, we have some mild weather. But this winter is just the pits as it’s constantly grey and wet, and quite rare to see the sun – meh. Also we’re having more extreme events such as buckets of rain causing severe floods (mainly up north) and a lot of high winds. Today it’s the turn of the south to have over 80mph wind gusts due in a couple of hours. Still – mustn’t grumble as it could be worse!

Thanks so much for this , Maddy. The course (& some of the others) look so interesting, I can’t do it now (I’m in the middle of grant applications for the film society) but shall bookmark the University of Dublin and look at it at a later date. Excellent – thanks again!
